Top dressing
The top dressing we have found the most effective is peat moss. (Although we also offer steer manuver) This is best when used in conjunction with over-seeding, thatching, aerating, and starter fertilizer. One large bail covers 500 to 1200 sq ft. the peat moss also helps the seed stay moist and protects it from bird and from washing away.
Lime
Lime is great to add to lawns that have been thatch which have had very bad moss. Lime not only raise the ph of acidic soils and inhibit moss growth but it also acts as a soil condition to soften the soil. Lime should be put down is the Spring and in the Fall.
